Maldives Government Announces Release of 35 new Islands at UAE Road show

and Al Ain. The Maldives set looks with 35 new Islands for resort development, to grow as the destination of choice for travellers from the Gulf region.

The road show supported by Qatar Airways kicked off with a bondage crowd at the Sheraton Dubai Creek, before moving to Le Royal Meridien, Abu Dhabi. The event will also travel to Riyadh, as part of the increase in-bound tourism MTPB initiative and build a solid tourism position in the Gulf region.

"We were happy with the overwhelming response to the roadshow to highlight of the region it serves to commitment and interest in the Maldives, said Mohamed Adam, Deputy Director, MTPB, who headed the event in addition to representatives of White Sands Resorts & Spa, Crown Tours and capital Travel and Tours.

"With exciting plans for expansion on the horizon and the daily flights available, the road show has really helped to point to the fact that the Maldives is a first class destination for the traveller GCC. Whether you are looking to travel on a luxury short break or splash out on a no cost spared escape, the region has to offer a complete range of resorts, Mr Adam explained.

The location of the idyllic island of Maldives, with its pristine sandy beaches and tropical palm trees, make it the perfect getaway from the hectic pace of the Gulf region. Only a four-hour flight away, the Maldives is a convenient choice for a retreat weekend or a longer break of luxury.
