Alaska Airlines offering daily year-round nonstop flights from Anchorage to Honolulu

Alaska Airlines today launched a "Hawaii Now" fare sale, featuring low fares to Hawaii's most popular vacation destinations from several West Coast cities, including Anchorage ANC, Alaska, Seattle, Portland, Ore., the Bay Area, Sacramento, Calif., and San Diego. One-way fares start as low as $149 for flights from West Coast destinations and $199 for flights from Alaska.

"Travel to Hawaii has never been more affordable," said Joe Sprague, Alaska Airlines' vice president of marketing. "The Hawaii Now sale offers travelers Alaska's award-winning service for one of the lowest fares available anywhere on the West Coast."
Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 15 and travel completed by Nov. 10, 2010.

HNL ANC flights are operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, accommodating 16 passengers in first class and 141 in the coach class. Inflight service includes food for purchase in the coach cabin, free meal service in first class and Alaska Airlines' digEplayer, a personal tv entertainment system offering a variety of movies, television shows, music and other features.
Many flights to Hawaii originate from San Francisco and Los Angeles, but Saretsky said Alaska Airlines isn't planning to add Hawaii service from those airports.

"Our home base is Seattle, and so it would be more natural for us to expand Hawaii service by serving additional islands nonstop from Seattle," he said.
