American Airlines ORD PEK flight AA 187

On April 26, 2010, American Airlines inaugurates its daily direct flight from Chicago oHare International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport. This new route to the Chinese capital is American’s second nonstop flight to China, which comes four years after the Chicago-Shanghai route launch. flight AA 187 departs Chicago ORD at 11:25 a.m. and arrives in PEK at 1:55 p.m. the following day, local time.Returning, American airlines flight AA 186 departs PEK at 4:50 p.m., arriving in Chicago ORD at 4:40 p.m. the same day, local time.
The Beijing flight will be operated using a Boeing 777 plane type, with 14 First Class seats, 37 Business Class and 194 coach passengers. Beijing Capital International Airport’s recently expanded Terminal 3 will be home to American Airlines, along with oneworld partners British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Japan Airlines and Qantas. The Beijing subway system’s Airport Express Line conveniently serves travelers from the airport where they can connect to various stops throughout the city. Shuttle buses also serve the airport, linking travelers to wherever they need to go.

American also collaborated with celebrity chef Sam Choy to create new Asian-fusion menu items that artfully blend the deep traditions of Chinese meal with the flavors of Western food.


American will have Mandarin-speaking flight attendants on each flight and premium passengers will be able to read a host of different newspapers while on board the aircraft, including the Wall Street Journal Asia, USA Today Asia and the Beijing Morning Post. Additionally, two Chinese movies in Mandarin will be available for viewing: The Rebellion and Storm Warriors. Additionally, in premium cabins, American will offer six films with Chinese subtitles: Avatar, Sherlock Holmes, The Invention of Lying, The Blind Side, Michael Jackson’s This is It and Planet 51.
