Bearskin Airlines flights Waterloo to Montreal

Bearskin Airlines will commence direct flights between The Region of Waterloo International Airport and Montreal Trudeau International Airport. To celebrate the launch of this new service intrductory fares are available for sale until April 30, 2011 starting at $119 one way plus taxes and surcharges.

Five round trip flights will be offered each business day including three nonstop flights and two flights offering same aircraft service via Ottawa. Weekend service will also be available. Up to four hours can be saved on a round trip flight using this new nonstop service as compared to the use of Toronto's Pearson terminal and associated drive to and from Waterloo Region.

Once support for Montreal-Waterloo service has been demonstrated, and as additional equipment comes online, service via Ottawa will be terminated as early as fall 2011 in favour of all nonstop service.

Bearskin Airlines has served The Region of Waterloo International Airport since October 2007 when three flights daily were launched from Ottawa. This service has since been increased to five flights each business day.

Bearskin Airlines will utilize the 19 passenger Fairchild Metroliner. The Fairchild Metro was designed specifically to serve the regional airline market. Since its introduction, more than 1,000 Metros and Merlins have been built, making the Metro and its derivatives one of the most popular regional aircraft in the industry. Bearskin operates 14 Fairchild Metroliners. Equipped with twin turbine engines, these pressurized aircraft offer exceptional speed and range. Every passenger receives a window and aisle seat in this two row, centre aisle configured aircraft.

Regular one way business fares will range between $158 and $499 plus taxes and surcharges. Senior Discounts, Student Standby Fares, Meeting &Convention Fares and periodic sale fares will also be offered.
The Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) is a full service modern facility which supports commercial, corporate and general aviation and is owned and operated by the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. Daily scheduled air service is provided by: WestJet, offering daily non-stop flights to Calgary with connections to other great Canadian cities; and Bearskin Airlines, offering daily flights to Ottawa and now Montreal.
