New WebSite flymkc.com for Kansas City

The Kansas City Aviation Department unveiled new website for the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport to give corporate, charter and recreational flyers the information they need in real-time.

The new site, www.flymkc.com, offers instant access to information on weather conditions, self fueling options and pricing, runway specifications, hangar rentals, and terminal services, air traffic control frequencies, maps, weather, aviation links and more. The web address flymkc.com, alludes to the international airport code for the airport, “MKC”.

Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport has also recently undergone approximately $70 million in improvements to enhance operations, safety and efficiency of the 80 year-old facility. This includes new terminal and hangar facilities, new meeting facilities, new taxiways, and a self-serve “AvGas” fueling station..

“We are committed to developing an advanced yet user-friendly website for Downtown Airport’s aviation community to enhance our customers’ experiences,” stated Joe McBride, marketing and communications manager of the Kansas City Aviation Department.

Kuhn & Wittenborn Advertising of Kansas City, Mo., partnered with Digital Evolution Group of Overland Park, Kan. to design and program the new website. The objective was to create the first ever, stand-alone website presence for the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport that will be quicker and easier to navigate for the commercial and private jet industry.
