“If you travel with a couple of children and carry baggage, it may be a little hectic to get through check in and security. With the summer campaign, we have done our utmost to prepare passengers for the situation at the airport. The most important thing is that both children and adults have a good experience at the airport, said Iben Eiby-Johannesen, Brand Equity Director of Copenhagen Airports A/S.
“Start off easy is the slogan of the summer campaign, which focuses on the good travel experience. The campaign will be rolled out throughout the airport with different messages and will comprise everything from signposting to attractive summer offers and activities for children and adults. The campaign is the first large-scale airport campaign combining travel tips for passengers with campaign offers in the shops and restaurants.
Coupon book with summer offers
As part of the summer campaign, we have made our signposting better and more eye catching in order to make it easier for passengers to navigate the airport. Moreover, more than 200 staff are working to ensure that the airport is clean and tidy and that passengers in need of advice can get help from a member of the service staff. In addition, surveys made by the airport show that many passengers want to be entertained while they are at the airport:
“We have many new and interesting initiatives at the shopping centre for both children and adults. In order to shorten the wait for children, we hand out beach balls and crayons. At the shopping centre, we also have a number of special summer offers in the restaurants and shops. For instance, the price of a bottle of water starts at DKK 10. In addition, we guarantee that you always save at least 20% on perfume and cosmetics compared with recommended retail prices in Denmark. We have put together a number of the best offers in a coupon book to be handed out to passengers in the shops. We also have a new feature this year: a VM lounge for soccer devotees, said Iben Eiby-Johannesen.
