Harbin: A Great All-season Destination!
travel package - 3 days / 2 nights, 2 days / 1 night Harbin in winter During its long winters, but especially from about mid-December and in January during its Ice and Snow Festival, Harbin beckons you to come and take part in its winter wonderland adventure! You'll see the Siberian Tigers and snow sculptures galore, eat delicious northeastern Chinese fare and watch courageous locals take the traditional plunge into the river.

These snowy delights will be available again in December 2009 and January 2010. But why not try Harbin in warmer weather as well?!

Harbin in other seasons In the Songhua River, Sun Island is the winter center for the snow sculpture exhibits, but in summer it transforms into a picnicker and nature lover's paradise. In any season, you will enjoy strolling along Harbin's long Central Street, an architectural art gallery of buildings with many in European styles, from Renaissance to modern. Harbin's Russian cultural heritage, entertainment venues, and super northeastern cuisine are great all year round!

Day 1 If from Beijing: Beijing - Harbin If from Shanghai: Shanghai - Harbin (L, D)

Beijing departure:
Meet at the Beijing Railway Station in the evening for soft-sleeper train, departing from Beijing to Harbin.
Overnight on the train

Shanghai departure:
Fly from Shanghai to Harbin, and meet your tour guide upon arrival.
After lunch, visit the Snow Sculpture Show to see magnificent snow and ice creations.
Drive to the Siberian Tiger Park, the largest one in the world.
Then visit Russian arts and crafts shop.
In the evening, enjoy the Ice and Snow World.
Overnight in Harbin

Day 2 If from Beijing: Harbin (B, L, D) If returning to Shanghai: Harbin - Shanghai (B, L)

Beijing departure:
Upon arrival in the morning, your local guide will meet you at the train station.
Transfer to hotel to check-in and enjoy breakfast.
Later you will be transferred to Songhua River to watch the winter swimming show, as dozens of brave locals plunge into the frozen Songhua River.
And then you will visit the Snow Sculpture Show to see magnificent snow and ice creations.
After lunch, drive to the Siberian Tiger Park, the largest one in the world.
Then visit Russian arts and crafts shop.
In the evening you will enjoy the Ice and Snow World.
After dinner transfer back to hotel.
Overnight at Harbin

Return to Shanghai:
After breakfast, take a walk along the Songhua River to see the Flood Control Monument, a major symbol of Harbin. Watch the winter swimming show, as dozens of brave locals plunge into the frozen Songhua River.
Visit Saint Sofia Church, the largest Russian Orthodox Church of the Far East, which now houses the Architecture and Arts Museum of Harbin.
After lunch, enjoy wandering in the city of Harbin. Tour Central Avenue, a pedestrian walkway, which includes streets built at the end of 19th century.
Then visit the Russaian style cafe.
Afterwards, transfer to the airport for the flight back to Shanghai.

Day 3 If returning to Beijing: Harbin - Beijing (B, L)

Return to Beijing:
Breakfast at hotel and then check out.
Visit to the Pole Aquarium to see the animals perform.
After lunch, visit Saint Sofia Church, the largest Russian Orthodox Church of the Far East, which now houses the Architecture and Arts Museum of Harbin.
At the Songhua River, take a walk along the river bank to see the Flood Control Monument, a major symbol of Harbin.
Afterwards enjoy wandering in the city of Harbin. Tour Central Avenue, a pedestrian walkway, which includes streets built at the end of the 19th century.
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Beijing.
