Global Advertising Strategies Partners with Key Media and Several City Governments in Groundbreaking Survey on International Travel

New York, NY (Vocus) May 14, 2010

Global Advertising Strategies (Global), an international marketing and advertising agency, in partnership with key media outlets in the countries of BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) will present the results of the Global Travel Survey, a project that sheds light on the travel preferences of over 500 million tourists. The survey runs through July 1, 2010.

The international tourist industry has felt affect of the millions of BRIC consumers. Global Advertising Strategies offers insight on what this demographic is looking for when traveling abroad. The company has partnered with such leading media outlets as Russia’s RBC.ru, China’s TVB.com as well as India’s Sulekha.com and India Times to broaden their reach of this emerging market segment.

The first phase of the survey was developed with the support of the city governments of Barcelona, Moscow, New Orleans, Dallas and Houston and will run in all three countries. Global plans on using the survey findings to bring new tourism traffic from BRIC markets to these and other destinations, along with generating new revenue streams for such travel brands as Aeroflot, Lufthansa, Jet Airways, and Cathay Pacific, among others.

Global Advertising Strategies has also partnered with Essentially America, a renowned publication about inbound travel to the USA, which will promote the joint venture and the survey at the International POW WOW 2010 taking place on May 15-19 in Orlando, Florida. The trade show, organized by the U.S. Travel Association, is considered the industry’s premier event for the U.S. travel. More than 1,000 U.S. travel organizations from every region of the USA, as well as 1,500 International tour operators from 70 countries attend every year.

Global expects that more industry leaders and key destinations will recognize the spending power of the BRIC market and see the need to start marketing directly to BRIC traveler. Several major airlines are already entering the market by offering nonstop flights. The latest, American Airlines, just announced nonstop service from Chicago to Beijing, following Continental, Delta and United Airlines in their outreach to the BRIC customers.

The United NationsWorld Tourism Organization has pointed out that Russian and Chinese consumers were among the world&39;s top spenders, indicating the rise of the BRIC travel over the next 15 years. By 2025, over 500 million residents of BRIC will earn over $35,000 a year, placing them into the middle-class category. Global Advertising Strategy is among very few multicultural marketing firms with a vast knowledge of BRIC markets, connecting its spending power with the mainstream market for over a decade.
